Still wondering how this whole French adventure works?

Is this a traditional French class?
Nope. That’s kind of the point! We learn French through conversation, games, activities, real-life situations, and experiences in local Calgary establishments.

Do I need to already speak French?
Not for Cohort 1! Beginner-friendly means exactly that. You can come with zero French experience and start from there.

I’m not a beginner — can I still join? 
Absolutely! Our first cohort is designed for beginners, but intermediate speakers are welcome too.

We’ll adjust the activities and conversations to the level of the participants while making sure our beginners still have a comfortable, supportive space to learn and speak without feeling overwhelmed.

If there’s enough interest from intermediate speakers, we may also organize an additional intermediate session.

So if you’re somewhere between “Bonjour!” and “I could probably survive a dinner in French”…

What if I join after the session has started?
Beginners can join when space is available. We’ll provide a catch-up guide and a little extra support to help you jump in with the group.

What if I can’t make my regular North or South night?
No big deal! You can swap locations within the same week if there’s space. Just let us know at least one hour before the session.

Do I have to drink wine?
Absolutely not! The wine is part of the vibe, not a requirement. 🍷😉

Do I have to buy food or drinks at the restaurant?
Yes. We’re guests of a local business, so participants are expected to make a purchase during the evening. Your registration includes a $10 gift certificate for the establishment we’re visiting that night. Tips are not included.

Why are the groups so small?
Because we want you to actually speak French. With only 3–4 participants, everyone gets plenty of opportunities to participate.

What happens after Cohort 1?
You keep going! Each cohort progresses to a higher level, so you can continue building your French skills with the same community.

Can I come back for another session?
Absolutely. Complete your 10-session cohort and you’ll unlock our $400 returning participant rate for your next eligible 10-session cohort.

What about kids? 
Yes! I currently offer private French immersion support for children. These sessions are designed to complement the French they are already learning in an immersion program and are personalized to their age, level, school needs, and learning style.

Private sessions only for now.

Do you offer private lessons for adults?
Yes! Private French options are available, including one-on-one and couples sessions, with content tailored to your goals and level.

Can I organize a private group or special French experience?
Possibly! Customized French experiences, private groups, couples, and special events are part of where we’re headed.
